911 Report

An
independent study released this week is calling for an overhaul of
Florida's 911 system.  It was prompted by the murder of a North Port
woman last year who may have been saved if Charlotte County 9-1-1
operators hadn't mishandled a call for help.  WGCU’s John Davis reports.

EMS Grant

The
Lee County Human Services division launched a program last month to
provide transportation to help the area’s homeless receive preventative
medical and dental care.  WGCU’s John Davis reports.

Cape Water Plan Nixed

The
Cape Coral City Council voted Monday night to kill a 77 million dollar
project to expand city water, irrigation and sewer services to about
6,200 properties in the southwest portion of the city.  WGCU’s John
Davis reports.
