Interceptor Boats
High
performance “Interceptor” boats built in North Ft. Myers are patrolling
the Western Caribbean as part of “Operation Enduring Friendship” - a
partnership between the United States and seven Caribbean and Central
American Countries. The boats are paid for by the Department of State
and the program is supported the U.S. Southern Command. WGCU’s Valerie
Alker paid a visit to the boat factory and has this report.

They’ve helped thousands in the decade, including Debra Creese. Rachelle Grossman has her story.

Constitution Day at FGCU
In 2004 congress designated September 17th
as Constitution Day – the same day as Citizenship Day. They mandated
that all federally funded schools teach something about the
constitution on that day. Many schools pass out small copies of the
constitution. But, at Florida Gulf Coast University a group of
students and professors decided to take it a little farther. WGCU’s
Luis Hernandez has this report.
