Alley Plan Opposed

Underwater archeologists are exploring a cave deep below the surface of a fresh water spring in North Port for the first time in more than three decades. The work is funded by a grant from the National Geographic Society. They’re looking for clues about prehistoric life in Florida, and perhaps fundamentally change the archeological record. Rosewood Reunion

The Rosewood incident was one of the worst race riots in American history. Hundreds of angry whites killed an undetermined number of blacks and burned down their Florida community. Building the Democratic Party Platform

A group of Barack Obama supporters met over the weekend in Tallahassee to discuss ideas to be forwarded to the presumptive Democratic nominee’s campaign.
