More than 2-thousand mourners from around the state, including Lt. Govenor Jeff Kottkamp, packed McGregor Baptist Church in Fort Myers Wednesday morning to pay respect to fallen Fort Myers police officer Andrew Widman. WGCU’s Tyrone Martin was there and has this report.

An investigation has found that thousands of criminals were licensed by the state to work in the mortgage market despite their backgrounds. At least one top official says it’s time for the person who had oversight of the state’s oversight agency to step down. Bobbie O’Brien has more.

Discipline in Schools

The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice hosted a meeting Tuesday in Bonita Springs to discuss new methods of dealing with discipline problems that don’t involve the arrest and detention of children. WGCU’s John Davis was there and has this report.
