Gambling Bill – Local Impact

Governor Charlie Crist recently signed a bill which allows for an increase in gambling at Florida’s horse and dog tracks.  WGCU’s Farah Dosani has more on what that will mean at the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track.

NRC Meeting

Officials
with FEMA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission held a meeting in
Bonita Springs Tuesday to explain new rules they’re proposing for how
nuclear power facilities prepare for emergencies.  WGCU’s John Davis
was there and has this report.

leaders from across the country are gathering in Lee County this week
to share ideas on improving schools. One of the people attending is
