Red Tide Study

Researchers from Mote Marine Laboratory were at Siesta Key beach in Sarasota this weekend as part of their ongoing study into the effects of Red Tide on asthmatics.

Space Tourism

Starting in 2009 people with enough money will be able to take a trip that up until now was solely for astronauts and scientists. WGCU’s Luis Hernandez
reports on a Southwest Florida travel agent now selling tickets to space, and
one soon-to-be college graduate who hopes to someday start his own “cruise line to the moon”.

Great Expectations

A 94-year-old retired schoolteacher now living in Fort Myers is about to see her dream come true. Fourteen years ago Margaret Hooreman began adapting the Charles Dickens novel “Great Expectations” into a musical. The production seems bound for Broadway, and tonight Hoorneman will see her work performed on stage for the first time at the Arcade Theater in downtown Fort Myers. WGCU’s John Davis has more…
