Skybus Goes Bust

Back in December low cost air carrier Skybus began providing service from Charlotte County Airport. Over the weekend the airline filed for bankruptcy protection and ceased operations. WGCU’s Valerie Alker reports.

Citrus Greening Summit

Citrus growers from across the state are gathering in Central Florida today for a summit on citrus greening. The deadly plant disease has been spreading across the state for the past three years, and researchers want to make sure growers are doing all they can to fight it.

Market Pulse 2008

Community leaders and members of the public are gathering in Estero this morning for a symposium called Market Pulse 2008. Speakers will present their outlooks on trends in the real estate market and broader economy. One of them is Dr. Gary Jackson, a Florida Gulf Coast University economics professor and director of the Regional Economic Research Institute.
