Golden Gate Weir Number Two
Water management officials believe they are one step closer to returning water flows through Collier County back to a more natural state. The South Florida Water Management District says the opening of Golden Gate Weir number two Friday is a big step in the right direction. WGCU’s Luis Hernandez has this report.

Court Appointed Guardians
As the number of older Americans grows, so does the number of those who suffer neglect, abuse and exploitation at the hands of court-appointed guardians. A monitoring program in Florida is among those getting noticed in Congress. Lawmakers are looking for solutions that can go national. Elizabeth Wynne Johnson reports from Capitol Hill.

Pesticides & Farm Workers
The effects of pesticides in foods are well documented but how these same pesticides are affecting workers in the fields is only slowly becoming apparent.
