Home Invasion Suspect Arrested

Local law enforcement agencies in Sarasota and Manatee counties have arrested a man they believe to be responsible for a series of home invasion burglaries in which female victims were tied up, then sexually assaulted or beaten. WGCU’s John Davis has more.

Flu Vaccination Volunteers Needed

Swine Flu vaccines should be available next week and the Lee County Health Department is looking for more than 2 thousand volunteers to help with an aggressive vaccination campaign.  WGCU’s John Davis reports.

Manatee Critical Habitat Under Review

A
coalition of environmental groups – including Save the Manatee –
recently petitioned the U-S Fish & Wildlife Service to review its
maps of critical habitat for manatees.  The Service announced this week
it would consider a reassessment.  WGCU’s Mike Kiniry reports.
