Burger King Considers Buying Tomatoes Elsewhere
Burger King says it might stop buying tomatoes from Southwest Florida.
It’s locked in a battle with an activist group in Immokalee and is looking for a different supplier. The Coalition of Immokalee Workers says this is just another ploy by the fast food chain. And Florida tomato growers are worried this could be devastating for business. WGCU’s Luis Hernandez reports.

New Contemporary Chinese Art Exhibit at FGCU
Abstract interpretations of Chinese calligraphy line the walls of the gallery at the Florida Gulf Coast University Art Complex. The Exhibition documents the fusion of tradition and modernity in cotemporary Chinese culture. WGCU’s Valerie Alker has more.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Fort Myers
After a decade of stops and starts a memorial to southwest Floridians who died in the Vietnam War is finally in place near the foot of the Midpoint Bridge in Fort Myers. The series of black granite panels engraved with names of fallen soldiers was created by a local man who developed the technique used for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. WGCU’s Mike Kiniry reports.
