“The overall goal is to stop doing really Band-Aid medicine as we call it because it becomes a revolving door where people will get sick and they go to the ER and they get that one issue resolved and then they end up having to return for another issue,” she said.
The clinic accepts private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. Most of the patients are uninsured and qualify for a sliding payment scale, according to Lewis.
