Local All Stars Compete for a shot at the Little League World Series
Written by Amy Tardif
It’s the time of year when local baseball parks fill up as young All Stars begin competing for their shot at the ultimate ballgame – The Little League World Series. Already a team from Venezuela became the first to earn a spot in the 62nd annual series by winning the Latin America Region Tournament last weekend. The Little League Baseball World Series for 11and 12-year-olds will be played in Williamsport, Pennsylvania from August 15th through the 24th. Sixteen teams from around the world will take part. Perhaps one of them will be from Florida? WGCU’s Amy Tardif reports.
