Dike Rehabilitation Project Continues

Engineers are about halfway done installing a 500-foot test section of the Herbert Hoover Dike around Lake Okeechobee – with a construction technique never before used in the U-S. Repairs are underway after inspectors concluded parts of the aging 140-mile long structure need to be upgraded or it could pose a grave and imminent danger to those living near it.
