The editor of Birding Magazine is in Southwest Florida this week. Ted Floyd spoke Wednesday night at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, and leads a field trip on Thursday. It’s his first visit to the area. Floyd told WGCU’s Valerie Alker he began making notes about birds as a teenager in the early 1980’s – and since then his passion has been taken up by many others.
