Every year nearly 20-thousand people are brought into the United States as slaves for sex or labor. Florida is second only to California in the number of people sold into such bondage. Numerous groups like the Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking are trying to bring more light to the subject. This weekend they’re opening an exhibit at the Southwest Florida Museum of History to raise awareness about human trafficking, which is happening right here in southwest Florida. WGCU’s Luis Hernandez has more.
