This week we’re hearing from the three candidates who hope to be the next congressman in Florida’s 14th District – which stretches from North Port south to Marco Island. In the general election incumbent 2nd term Republican Connie Mack will face fellow Republican, State Senator Burt Saunders of Naples…who’ll be running with no party affiliation…and Democrat Larry Byrnes, a professor at Florida Gulf Coast University. Yesterday we heard from Senator Saunders, who said his strengths lie in his longstanding ties to southwest Florida and his ability to work across party lines.
