With hurricane season just a few months away, J.N. Ding Darling wildlife refuge on Sanibel Island is still cleaning up debris left from Hurricane Charley. Volunteers spent a Saturday neck deep in water and plant debris. The clean up is part of the refuge’s Mangrove Recovery initiative. Janette Janero visited the refuge and has more in this report.
