Tropical Sage
(Salvia coccinea) 

Type:  Shrub / Wildflower

Size: up to 2 feet tall with a 1-1/2 foot spread

Zone: 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b, 10a, 10b, 11

Habitat:  Full sun to partial shade, prefers well drained soil and tolerates a wide range of acidity.

Description:
This perennial's beautiful red flowers bloom from May to October and continue sporadically through the winter. Tropical Sage reseeds itself and serves as a nectar source for hummingbirds and butterflies.
