Elections & The U.S. Sugar Land Deal

Florida’s primary election is Tuesday the 24th. We’ll meet the Democrats who hope to be on the November ballot for Florida’s 13th congressional district…which includes all of Sarasota, DeSoto & Hardee Counties…most of Manatee County and a bit of Charlotte County. And the South Florida Water Management District’s Governing Board recently approved a scaled back plan to buy land from U-S Sugar for Everglades Restoration. We’ll talk to the board’s chairman and the CEO of the Everglades Foundation to learn more.
