WGCU Public Media and Florida Gulf Coast University hosted an evening of entertainment and discussion with a preview of Ken Burn’s new documentary “Prohibition.” An audience of nearly 300 WGCU members and FGCU students celebrating Constitution Day were treated to an improvisational demonstration of life without 1st Amendment rights. As “actors” attempted to invoke their first amendment rights…assemble, speech,  religion, press, petition… they were arrested and placed in a makeshift jail. The evening was topped off with a discussion of “Your rights and the government’s role” with featured panelist Rep. Matt Caldwell (FL District 73.)
