Civil Discourse in a Polarized Society

Tuesday, March 13 at 6:30 pm

Myra Janco Daniels Public Media Center on the FGCU Campus

Throughout the country and in our own homes we have become a people divided. We are divided along political lines… often too angry to discuss important issues… unable or unwilling to accept different points of view.

Best-selling author, noted scholar and specialist in the Socratic method, Dr. Christopher Phillips will guide a discussion in using the Socratic method. The goal is to give you the tools you need to ask meaningful questions, listen to the answers, and arrive at a more meaningful discourse.

Doors open at 6 pm.  This event is free but reservations are required. Seating is limited. RSVP here.

**Be sure to bring your smartphone for anonymous interactive polling.

Brought to you by the FGCU Philosophy program and the Journalism program through the Daniel and Janet K. Warner Journalism Endowed Fund, Gulfshore Life Magazine and WGCU Public Media.
