Senior Choices of Southwest Florida is an Aging and Disability Resource Center that has a customer-focused system
for information and referrals to public and private pay long-term support options. By being the point of entry to long-term
care programs, fragmentation is reduced and optimal use of all resources is assured to assist those in need. Our service
area includes: Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Sarasota counties.

Since 1993, the Senior Companion Program has enabled more than 400 senior citizens to volunteer approximately
500,000 hours of providing assistance to frail elderly and developmentally disabled adults who are at risk of premature
institutionalization in Hendry, Lee, Collier, Desoto, Charlotte and Sarasota Counties.  Senior Companion Volunteers also
provide respite services to full time family caregivers.


Florida Affordable Assisted Living Website
This Website was created through a public-private partnership between the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, the Agency
for Health Care Administration, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the NCB Development Corporation, and the Florida
Housing Finance Corporation. This Website is intended to serve as a comprehensive clearinghouse of information for
assisted living consumers, operators, and developers, managed by the Elder Housing Unit within the Department of
Elder Affairs as a part of the Communities for a Lifetime.
